Learn to LIVE UP to the truth and experience true freedom. We want you to live different than the rest of the world. Pastor Matt will show you what Paul found: how to LIVE UP in life, how to LIVE UP to the truth that you’ve attained, and that truth is the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. God’s mercy and grace will free you into the goodness of confession and repentance to find true life in this world. You may find that you feel broken and you may find that you can’t find freedom from it…God’s grace and mercy can transform your life. (John 15:1-3)
We see this remarkable testimony from Paul and, and as we go through this series, LIVE UP, we’ll be in John 15:1-3 and Philippians 3-4.

Recognize Truth vs. Lies About Your Position: This slide walks us through the progression from guilt and shame to victory in Christ. Many believers live stuck in a guilty conscience or shame-filled mindset, believing lies about who they are. But transformation begins when we acknowledge sin honestly, receive God’s grace fully, and intentionally walk in victorious living. Growth happens when we daily confess sin, embrace grace, and choose obedience rooted in truth rather than condemnation.
Breathe In a Prayer: This slide introduces a simple, practical rhythm for spiritual renewal. We begin by admitting our struggle honestly before God. Then we declare His grace over our weakness. Next, we commit to living differently in light of that grace. Finally, we anchor our hearts in Scripture. This process teaches us how to move from reaction to reflection, allowing prayer and truth to reshape our daily responses.
From Despair to Revived Hope: Here we see the stark contrast between the cycle of sin, shame, isolation, and brokenness versus the cycle of faith, confession, forgiveness, freedom, and restored life. Despair thrives when we remain trapped in secrecy and self-focus. Hope is revived when we trust Christ, confess honestly, and believe in His transforming power. The gospel does not leave us in brokenness; it moves us toward restoration in every area of life.
From Empty Desires to Knowing Christ: This slide reflects Paul’s words about counting everything as loss compared to knowing Christ. Empty desires—achievement, comparison, control, self-reliance—promise satisfaction but leave us spiritually dry. True fulfillment is found through belief, confession, repentance, and embracing a new identity in Christ. Righteousness by faith leads to freedom, contentment, perseverance, and living as citizens of heaven. The ultimate gain is not what we achieve, but who we know.
Use Scripture to Discern Truth: This slide introduces the “5 D’s” of living out what we believe. Spiritual growth begins by determining a clear truth from Scripture. From there, we discern where our lives are not aligned with that truth, define a concrete step of obedience, discover someone modeling that truth well, and depend on accountability and community to follow through. Living up to the truth isn’t passive—it requires intentional alignment, practical obedience, and Spirit-dependent action rooted in God’s Word.
