Why Biblical Counseling and Your Next Steps:

We are all on a sanctification journey. Along that journey of discipleship God can reveal sin issues and suffering in our lives that has not been addressed or overcome. When that happens some people don’t know what to do next. This is when one of our biblical lay counselors can help you to identify and overcome disordered desires, motivations, thoughts, habits, and behaviors so that you can have victory in these areas of your lives. This process begins when you decide to seek help.

Step 1 – Either call the office at 410.848.6330 or email us at counsel@discoverwbc.com.

Step 2 – Pastor Bill will reach out to you.  You will be asked some general questions to determine why you are seeking counsel, who would be the right counselor for you, and when you might be available to meet with someone.

Step 3 – You will be sent via email a personal information form which must be filled out prior to meeting with a counselor.  Once that is finished and back to Pastor Bill you will be notified who your counselor will be and when your first meeting is.

Counseling is free at WBC, however you can make a monetary donation, specifically to the counseling ministry which will be used for resources and further training for the counselors.

All counselors at Westminster Baptist Church are trained biblical lay counselors or have received masters-level training in biblical counseling.
