Biblical Parenting

Our church is invested in cross-generational ministry. We want to see legacies of faith passed down from generation to generation. In order to continue to see this happen, we are integrating a focus on Biblical Parenting into our worship rhythm.

Occasionally on Sundays at 9:30am we will have a service focused on worship, biblical parenting training, and a parenting discussion. This time will feature our Family Ministry Team investing in our congregation and parents. Rather than doing one conference a year, this allows us to create a culture of biblical parenting throughout the year without parents coming out multiple times during the busy weeks of parenting. We are excited about this opportunity with you.

When: 9:30am

Dates: 01.21 | 04.21 | 07.21 | 10.20

Where: MPR (our gym)

Who: Parents and Teens (students will have group discussions in the Student Wing after the training)

What: Content will be derived from scripture and supplemented by nationally recognized authors, contributors, and podcasters.

Frequency: Quarterly

• Groups that meet at Sunday School can shift to 8:30am or 11:00am if they want to give the opportunity to attend a regular worship service and the Parent Trainings. If so, please contact Pastor Glen (glen@discoverwbc.com) to ensure room space at either 8:30am or 11:00am.
• Each service will have a follow up discussion the next month on a Wednesday night during our regular kids and student programming.
• Both the 8:30am and 11:00am service will be regular worship services.
• Kids Ministry will be available during this time.
• Student Ministry will meet with the congregation at 9:30am and then shift to the Student Wing for their own discussion time.
